IN ADDITION TO TRAINING ...

A week-long internship in Sweden allowed us not only to gain valuable professional experience, and also to learn culture and to see famous Scandinavian destinations. The duration of the stay was precisely planned. Every day on working days, we implemented the training programme, and in the afternoon we visited the most interesting places. On Saturday, February the 16th it was also the time to get known Finland and Sweden.

A trip to Kiruna in Sweden. The city is famous for its mine from which one of the world's purest iron ore is mined. Due to the richest deposits located directly below the city, it is moved to another location.

Icehotel, located in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden, is the first and largest hotel in the world made of ice and snow. It was built for the first time in 1990 to attract tourists to the area also in the winter, which is very harsh here. Unusual building material makes the hotel melt after the end of the season (mid-April) and is again built in November with the onset of frost.

A trip to the seat of Saint Nicholas - the Finnish city of Rovaniemi

On the Arctic Circle, in Lapland, there is the Village of Saint Nicholas. Here, Christmas lasts a whole year. We are standing in the international queue to see the famous bearded man. When it is our turn to come in, we enter the room, where on the platform, a smiling old man sits on a huge oak chair. A short chat where we came from and a souvenir photo. Although the meeting with Santa is free, only the elves have the license to take photographs.

Both on the territory of Sweden and Finland, we crossed the border of the Arctic Circle.
