Before going to Övertorneå it was necessary to get familiar with culture and language. We learnt about the country of residence by preparing information about customs, traditions, political system, etc. We made our presentations at the last meeting before going to Sweden. In addition, an English language course was organized for teachers-participants, which was run by our colleague Maria Materna. The course included 35 hours of practical language used in different situations. During the lessons, we learned how to deal with everyday situations, e.g. at the airport, in the store, etc. We also discussed vocabulary related to our fields of science (computer science, electronics).
